I am about to complete my masters in management information systems at SUNY Buffalo. i have a background of 3 plus years in IT consulting before my masters. during the time spent in my masters, i have developed interest in MBA (since my masters prog was part of bschool ) and will be joining my previous employer in a managerial position.

I would like to apply for part time MBA in a top school next year. I would like to know how useful my masters degree would be in my MBA admission decision.

I've read Pelihu (JD from top law school) say that a grad degree has no bearing on admissions. If at all, it might have a slight negative effect.
