I am a commerce student really interested in the field of finance and wants to study more about it but I am confused as to which one is the best for me for opportunities ahead in career and for learning purposes also whether I should go for an Msc In finance which requires a GMAT score or an MIM in Finance which I guess does not require GMAT.
Basically I have not thought of which field in Finance I want to work for whether Corporate finance or investments or another as for now I want to just study and understand finance and simply want to invest in that degree which can yield a good return on my investment in future in terms of greater per annum salary than the amount invested to do that course.
Please guide me through !
Thanks
Posted from my mobile deviceHi. First of all, if you are applying to a top business school for mim, they will require a GMAT score. And if you are applying MFin, then they will definitely expect a Good score in the quant section.
Secondly, if you are sure you want to work in finance, then you should ideally go for MFin. You'll get better profiles that will be finance related. In mim, there are only a few schools that offer specialised masters in finance. However you can choose electives. But most of the roles are entry level after you graduate.
To narrow it down, ask yourself what you want from the degree? If you are not sure, you should go for an mim as you will have an option to go into other domains as well.
Good luck.
