Well Masters in Finance/MSF caters to highly-motivated top achieving graduates looking to become future financial leaders.
It is a good choice for students interested in developing technical skills which they could use as a springboard for a career in Finance.
As for your targeted schools, the University of Illinois and the University of Southern California are pretty good options.
The University of Illinois offers a 15-month STEM and provides extensive exposure to the latest developments in finance theory and practice in a curriculum specifically designed for each student’s area of specialization.
Whereas USC offer a STEM designated which is more oriented towards skills and knowledge to make an immediate impact as analysts
Both these schools offer an average salary of 86,000$ post graduation and companies such as Bain & Company, Deloitte Consulting, Goldman Sachs Group, JPMorgan Chase & Co., McKinsey & Company, etc are some of the top recruiters from these US schools.
Apart from these, you can also try your luck in other Top B-Schools that offer good Masters in Finance programs in the US :

Sloan School of Management, MIT
Brandeis International Business School, Brandeis University
Bendheim Center for Finance, Princeton University
Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University
