I have read on the internet that Bentley does not have that good a reputation and is not considered amongst a top-ranked program.
On the other hand, OSU is known for its SMF program.
How important is college visibility ?

Visibility meaning OCR / alumni network etc. Some global players may not recruit at certain schools

Bentley has been around for a long time. It has a solid reputation in the northeast. It may not land you into IB, but it is a good school and there are lots of great opportunities outside IB. Rochester is also well known in the northeast. Although living in Boston is very attractive.

Ohio will probably take you to Chicago.

USC will take you to the left coast

UT is the king of TX.

So basically you have to decide where do you want to live and work? You are obviously a smart guy or you wouldn’t be getting these offers. None of these schools are duds, if that is your concern.

Hello, I am an international student applicant and have received admission in

1) Ohio State(Fisher School of Business) with 20% scholarship
2) University of Utah(David eccles school of Business) for MSF (Masters of Science Finance) .
3) Bentley- 40% scholarship

Awaiting decision :- UT Austin, USC Marshall, UIUC, Rochester-Simon
I have interviewed for USC and Simon

My concerns with the following schools
1) OSU- good brand name but an accelerated program. Will I get a job as I have no background and internships in finance?
2) Utah- Location in the middle of nowhere plus 10-month course.Concerned about employment
3) Bentley- Good curriculum with data analytics and suited to my background as a software engineer. 1.5-year course with an internship but not well known and does not have a good brand name.

I am concerned that small course tenure and no internship opportunity will hinder me in job search .
I have cleared CFA level 1 and appearing for level 2 so that should give me some leverage during job hunt.

Help needed in making a decision. I want to know if Ohio is a good choice and does brand name make up for short course?

Hello,

Could you please share your stats and when aaproximately you submitted your application? I have applied to those schools, too, and now waiting for a decision.

Thank you.

I am a white italian female and I graduated from Bocconi University (top European business school) with a GPA of 102/110. I was an exchange student at Olin during my senior year and achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.52 there.
GRE V 164 Q157
TOEFL 117 but I am requesting a waiver since I completed my bachelor in English.
work experience:
- Foreign commercial service intern at US Consulate in Milan
- summer analyst at BlackRock in London
- summer operations intern at Amazon UK
- currently finance analyst intern at Amazon Italy

I want to apply to Olin and Mcombs. Also how do you feel about scholarship possibilities? would it be easier to get one at Ohio state?

I am no expert, but looking at your bio, as long as you have sound grades in Calculus and statistics you have a good shot with McCombs and Olin.
