@Vandygrad : Thanks for your encouraging words!

@rajeev : Actually, i was wondering whether my different type of work experience would compensate for my just-about-there score. What do you think?

Thanks for the debrief, especially on the IR thing.

It's always that unknown... I would've preferred to have had some more prep time before sitting my GMAT, but nobody could be sure on how the IR was going to turn out.

What is it like? You say it's nothing to worry about, but I don't even know how that part of the test is like, at all!

I agree that ur profile is up against an IT guy with a similar score but the point i want to emphasis is that you would like not to give a chance to adcoms of top b schools to turn ur application down . The biggest thing is that you have the potential to achieve the desired score so why not ...
Again, its totally my pers opinion.

Hi,

Can you let me know you average accuracy at OG in SC and CR, i scored 30 in verbal and am at 70% accuracy for SC and around 75% for CR (all questions, advanced level q with 60% odd accuracy) , i do not have any timing problem

I am targeting verbal of 36/37, so may be your insight can help

Hi versatile, my accuracy was in the range of 75-85% for high level questions and 85-90% for the regular ones.

Hope that helps!

Since you have the potential and you have scored above 730 in most of the mock tests, IMO you may give the CAT again with some solid prep of Verbal this time.

Agree with Rajeevrks27 here! Having a few points improvement in your verbals will probably make a significant boost for your overall score.

As for whether that score is good enough, it will depend on the specific school's criteria (which ones are you applying to?)... your essays and anything interesting you can bring forth about your background to standout. This includes your experience as an entrepreneur, but also things like volunteer work. At least you can take some comfort in those stories about IT guys with 800 scores but with nothing else to bring to the table being turned down.

Hi everyone,

i have the gmat next monday, and ive been studying with the og12. My surprise was today, when i found out that the AWA has no more Analysis of an Issue, and that there is an Integrated Reasoning Section. Im in Panic right now. Where can i get stuff to study the IRC section, and can anyone tell me if its realistic to actually make it till monday? otherwise i will actually postpone my exam!!!

:(
