I promised and I'm doing. This Monday I took my first gmat test. Test center is located in my city so I didn't need to go far. I slept good and was quite fresh. On Sunday I bought 4 redbulls and the same day my daughter and niece drank one of them
. Last week was very busy for me because we had to prepare an event, participated in beer parties etc so far as I couldn'd spend enough time for gmat. Actually last weekend I continued my preparation dispite common opinion to avoid that.
OK, on Monday I passed all stupid procedures of VUE (fingerprint, bla,bla,bla...) then I was ready and in a moment I started with AWA. I didn't pay much attention to AWA just typed something suitable following the templates, took a break and went to Q-part. I was very good with math in school. Maybe excellent but it was many years ago. But I refreshed my math skills so that Q49 became my average scope for simulators...On the test I met none of comb/perm, just some algebra, geometry, numbers even/odd etc. Nothing strange. Q I finished in time. 10 minutes brake, 1 cigarette, 1 bedbull, 1 restroom to pee
. Then V started.
[I should explain some. A week ago I tried to check my readiness by taking gmatprep#2 1st time. I got Q49V24 560 or someting like that. If I say that I was depressed I'd say nothing. I was killed. I was erased. I bought 2 liter of red wine and used half of that with no good result. I even decided to postponed but it was late without losing $250. So I decided just to get some experience of gmat. I expected around 560-600]
So V just started. I also started to feel a bit tired but I kicked myself to rush. Nevertheless I spent around 50-55 minutes for first 20 questions. I was very evil and told myself to kick this test offfff (no... f*** off). 1 minute per question left. I was running. When 30 seconds left I picked 3-4 last questions using "C" answer and finished. Mouse was clicked, clicked... and I saw the result after a short pause - 690. Better than expected but not enough to quit.
Yesterday I arranged my second gmat - 30th June. All spare time for verbal. Good luck to each of us!!!
