After having missed my gmat appointment once, I had prepared pretty well for my gmat this time *7th May.
My prep material included career launcher books mainly, plus Kaplan GMAT premier 2013. I had given a mock test before the actual test, same score as test 500

Today, I took another mock test, Q36, marginal increase only. I feel my preparations suffered, because I had given up on my passport to come in time all together. It has been stuck in the system for over a year, had to go through a tout finally after numerous complaints.
Secondly, I felt over and over again, that I do not lack the concepts, or I have a poor understanding of GMAT test conditions, but infact, I'm falling for pitfalls, trick questions too often. For now, my target is to wait till October for my next attempt, during the same time as when I would give CAT as well. XAT as well maybe.
Quants Section (as it happened): Up early, I managed my time poorly in the IR section, so in quant, I was keen on saving time at first, first few questions were well.
Towards the middle, I had a very good feeling about my Quant score, but perhaps I did the last 10-12 questions badly. I still need to adapt to the stamina requirement honestly.
Verbal Section: Was all average, I did made mistakes all over, and I felt them. It was mainly due to poor practice. I did well in CR, but somehow did bad on SC, which is supposed to be my natural strength. Perhaps those foreign language classes have taken their toll on my grammar.
