I took the GMAT today and got tripped in the Quants section. Here are my scores:
Quant: 39 - 57 percentile
Verbal: 41 - 91 percentile
I have been working on the quants for sometime now and seem to go into tail spin when I cant solve a problem within time. A part of me thinks that a greater amount of practice would help me through, but another part suspects that I may have reached my limit.
Your opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any suggestions on alternate ways of preparing for the quants, it would be great.

you got 650 on a first try.. that's great.
wish i have your verbal score and i give you my quant score..ha..
i received 49 on math but,,dismal low 20 on verbal.
How did you study for the verbal section? please let me know.
For math,
do all the OG questions. if you have time. do them twice and learn your mistakes....also, make sure to know fundamental math formulars and rules...i say do as many questions as possible....

Thanks for very much for your encouragement comeongmat. For verbal, I just went through the OG questions and also went through a document posted on this website that provides some basic rules for sentence correction, reading comp and sentence correction - I have attached the document with this posting. I hope this helps.
For my quants - I will do as you have suggested. Hopefully, I will be able to overcome the "third question trap".
