After a loooong period of preparation (more than 4 months) I finally gave my first
practice GMATPrep today.
Note: this is not the real deal... but just GMATPrep
These are the results:
Score: 760
Quant: 48 (13 incorrect), 45 (5 incorrect)
I was elated to see the score of 760 but the number of incorrects in quant is underwhelming. Ofcourse I shouldnt be surprised since quant has been my weakness. I could solve only 33/37 questions in the given time. 13 out of 37 incorrect means I got more than 33% of the questions WRONG... it becomes worse considering I got 4 guesses correct by pure luck. Is it true that you can get a 48 score on quant after making 13 mistakes?
I got only 5 incorrect in verbal but got less score than quant. Does this mean everyone and their uncle finds verbal easier and hence makes fewer mistakes in that section? I saw 4 or 5 repeats from either OG11, or the sets.
This means I had extremely good luck on 10 questions on the entire test. I have read that GMATPrep tests are pretty accurate. But because of getting the guesses in quant correct and seeing repeats in verbal I am not so sure of the results anymore. Has anyone seen repeats from OG in the real GMAT test?
My point is do you guys think a 100 point swing is possible because of pure luck on a given day?
Another important question...
is there any way to see my score again? I can go back to the review section but this retarded software does not seem to want to show my score again.
