Took the GMAT at Pearsons Bangalore,India.Ended up with a dissappointing 660(Q 48,V 34).
The Mishap happened during the verbal section. I turned up late to the verbal section by a minute or so after the Quant break.It really pissed me off a bit.But tried to maintain my cool and started the verbal.I got a weird RC passage early in the section.This along with the fact that i lost a couple a minutes by turning up late made me loose my mind and i was found lagging behind time in the first 15- 20 minutes.I had to really rush through the rest of the section inorder to make up for my mishap earlier.I could complete only 37-38 questions in the end and had to guess the last 3 or 4 questions .
The Questions i got today were of the same difficulty level as in GMAT Prep.In Quants most of the questions were from inequalities,number properties,sets and word translations.Got 1 question from probability.Got 1 or 2 questions from geometry. Verbal was also of the same level as in GMAT Prep.The third RC i got was very huge .90+ lines i believe.Nothing out of the ordinary in SC or CR.
This is my third attempt so i am pretty disappointed with what i have achieved as i am targetting the top 30 -50 B-schools in the US where i should be around the 700 range as i belong to Indian IT Male category.So should i go for retake 4th time? Will it be viewed negatively? Or should i proceed with my applications.Please let me know.

You have a decent score - not a solid one but quite good. The quant is solid but verbal needs the most work (which takes the longest).
Sorry you have not been able to hit your target. What were your practice scores or have you exhausted all of the tests long ago?
Being an IT Indian male is a discussion in its own - if you are applying to top 10, then you should probably consider retaking. Since you have done it 3 times already, I would find a course/class that you could enroll without any penalties (full money back guarantee rather than re-take guarantee), just in case you are not able to move it much. Knewton provides a full money back guarantee if you want to give them a shot (online class) but it is $600 or 700.

Kaplan Live 2010 Online tests - 650 to 670 in the four tests i took.
Manhattan GMAT - 660 to 700
GMAT Prep(Taken many times) - 680 to 750. MY scores of 720+ here are a bit skewed as i had seen some questions earlier.
The Main reason why i am pondering about a retake is because i feel that 15 minutes of my madness in Verbal section cost me atleast 2-3 points in verbal.Is retaking a 4th time a bad thing to do? Also i am banking on some scholarship from schools which inturn seems to be correlated to my GMAT score. At the same time i also need to work on my applications as the deadlines are fast approaching.So just thinking about which is the best way to go.
