Hello everyone. I recently took my GMAT and got an awesome 690. I am happy about my score because I was aiming for a 650. I was trying to get into a PhD program and because all my other credentials are excellent, I only needed to score a 650 to get accepted. I signed up with
Target Test Prep before they were finished with the verbal part and so the program did not have enough verbal material for me to study the verbal part with.
Target Test Prep quant works for me because I did see a huge improvement in my quant score, but my verbal was week. I knew I was going to have problem when I take the real gmat because my verbal score was not good. My first attempt was in May 2021. I took the GMAT online and scored a 580 (Q42, V28). I was sad for the entire day. So, for some days, I just relaxed and spent time with family. I went back on GMATCLUB to see if I could find out any good verbal materials. I only received mixed reviews, which did not make my tasks any easier. Then GMATCLUB hosted the Olympic challenge and I participated. It was awesome. I ended up winning one of the prizes, which is a live study session with Score Leap Test Company. I never heard of them before, so I accepted the gift and it was just what I needed. The instructor, Kalyan, was awesome. He make sure that everyone is in class and on time and you have to do all the assignments before class starts. The class sessions are lively and active and everyone has to participate. My favorite part of the class were the SC and RC. I learned to read at slow and relaxed manner. After the 2 months class sessions was over and I started my full length practices, I definitely saw a huge improvement in my verbal score. Feeling so confident, I retook my GMAT in January 2022, and Scored a 690 (Q45, V40). I was supper elated. I now got accepted in a Phd program fully funded with stipend. For many of you, if you find it difficult to do a self study verbal, then give scoreleap verabl live batch session a try. You learn only what you need for the gmat.
