Hello everyone,
I come to you for help, advice from someone with similar experience to mine:
I've taken the GMAT twice, I scored a shameful and outrageous 290 and then 390--

First of all, I've always had a lot of gaps in mathematics. I haven't worked the subject for 3 years.
I'm not of English native (but I studied in the UK so I have facilities) I usually have good results in Verbal.
I don't target top schools, but those ranked between 15 and 30.
It is really frustrating because I have pretty good grade score and a good work experience and I can't have access to international business schools.

Study plan for the 1st test:

I reworked the basics with the GMAT foundation book from manathan prep.
I followed online courses via Kaplan, I did the questions via their question banks. I worked 3 hours a day at the same time as the uni courses. I wrote flashcards that I memorized.
average score of the practice tests: between 450 and 550
Actual score: 290 (I'm very ashamed)

study plan for the 2nd test (one month difference between the 1st test)
I decided to go back to the basics, I took a private math teacher (2 hours a day), I wrote flashcards for the verbal part. I worked 4 hours a day. I was still working on the Kaplan bank question.
average score of the practice tests: between 450 and 570
Actual score (passed two days ago): 390 ( I am still very ashamed)

Can you tell me what I'm not doing right?
Do I have to double my working hours ? Is my math level unattainable? Am I just stupid (lol) :shocked ? Do you know why the gap is so huge ?

All your advice will be frankly appreciated!

I would advise you to focus on fundamentals and building concepts and attempt OG questions first.
Try to get maximum learnings out of questions you attempt and make sure you don't perform the same mistakes again.
