Hi guys,
I took my GMAT on 29th Jul and got 690 (AWA 5.5, IR 8, Q50, V33) – though I aimed 700+, this score is a big surprise
690 is not as high as other 700+ but it’s incredible to me - I started learning Gmat one month ago with 3 hours per day, became a silent reader of this site at the same time, registered as a member on 19th and got 690 on 29th. I spent my lunch break at work, instead going out with my colleagues, staying at my desk and reading experiences and advices from Gmatclub. All of my learning materials are of gmatclub or recommended by many people on this site, that’s why I want to say something to express my deepest thanks to you guys when knowing my first score.
I think I am a little bit crazy when deciding to take the test within that short learning period. At first, I intend to study for three months and take the test at the end of Sep but during my learning, I found many resources recommended on gmatclub such as Manhattan, Kaplan and even Gmatprep but I am so confused, don’t know which one is the most similar to the actual test and reflects exactly my actual score. Therefore when hearing that we can cancel the test after knowing our score, I decided to register for a real GMAT immediately - just to satisfy my curiousity and to know what the actual test looked like.
I must say that I am too lucky. Again, thanks for Gmatclub and thanks for my Asian background that makes me confident in Quant though my Verbal is not good, especially my RC is terrible.
And for others who are planning to take the test, my advice is that make use of gmatclub – useful experience and huge information about the test are all on this site and if you are the same as me – don’t know whether the gmatprep, manhattan or kaplan is different or similar to the real test, go ahead and take a real test.
I now continue learning to improve my Verbal before retaking the test in Sep, hope that can reach 700+ this time
but not sure if I can reach 8 for IR and 5.5 for AWA again
