My score report still shows 'C' for cancelled

Question

Hi All

I took the GMAT last week and cancelled my score. I now want to submit my official score report to a university (with a score I had from 2 months ago that I kept) but when I log in to the GMAT website to view my official score report for download it still has a) the date and 'C' for the exam I cancelled as well as my score from 2 months ago that I want to report and b) the other universities I sent my score to.

Help? Where does one see the official score report without the 'C'?? I know GMAT changed the rules last year and it should not be appearing?? ( as per below)

From the website:

"The “C” that represents a candidate’s cancelled scores will not be shown on any future GMAT score reports generated by GMAC. This means that when a test taker cancels their score, only the test taker will know."

It shows for you only not the university you intended to apply. Feel free to apply with the old score.

Hi Eliz,

The information that YOU have access to is not the same information that Business Schools receive with the Official Score Report. Your online file has to contain ALL of the information from every Exam that you've taken over the last 5 years, so that you can reactivate a score (if you choose) and you know when you've hit your 'limit' (you can take the GMAT up to 5 times in a 12-month period, so you need to know when you can retest if you're out of remaining attempts).

My school - SDA Bocconi - is requesting an official score report for the application...I'm kind of frustrated because I didn't want the "C" to show up on my first attempt...how do I get an official score report that doesn't have that?

Hi Sydney,

The 'User Report' that you are looking at and the Official Score Report that Schools receive are NOT the same thing. The Score result that you chose to 'Cancel' will NOT show up on any Report that the Schools will receive access to (unless you pay to reactivate that Score AND select the School(s) to receive access to that Score).

Yes, I know this but one of my schools requests that you upload a score report on the application and I’m not sure if there’s anything else I can upload that doesn’t have that C on it. I might just have to accept it. I did tell them I submitted the official score through GMAC so I’m waiting to see if they say they still want me to upload the report myself.

They checked the GMAC portal for it and no longer requested the report from me directly. All good!
