Hi All,
I am graduate in Commerce, and i am working for MNC, where i least have time for 3+hrs a day for preparation.
i am not good in Maths but fair in English, i haven't been with Mock test of GMAT. And i am planning that the mock shouldn't demote my prep plan. As i am planning to a big marathon, i already started my prep.
i bought Kaplan GMAT Math Workbook (Kaplan Test Prep).
and planning for GMAT by Jan-15.
I need your suggestions for my preparations.
Thanks
Kaushik
Get Official Guide 13. You will need it later anyway. Take the diagnostic test it has in the beginning. That should give you a good idea of your current level.
I think you will need to start with the basics but the diagnostic will give you a better idea. If you find that you are not comfortable with basic calculations, you might want to check purplemath.com or khanacademy.org or your high school books. If you find that you are fair enough already, then you can directly start with GMAT specific material.
You will also need to start reading extensively - standard newspapers, good magazines, fiction/non fiction books etc. Devote at least one hour every day to reading.
Get the complete curriculum of a test prep company or join a course (depending on your inclination). Go through every book thoroughly. Do all the practice questions and online assignments and check out online videos. Then work on the practice questions of OG13.
Start taking practice tests. You can take a full test once every 15-20 days throughout your preparation (after one round of going through the books). Analyze the test properly and note down your weaknesses. Work on them specifically.
