Good luck. Time to switch roles. You probably need to ask for recipes and the shopping list from her.

But seriously, it was only a matter of time before you inspired someone close to you.

BTW, since when did the B-School App forum become 'everything goes'?

That's what make this forum so interesting !!! My day is not complete unless i browse this forum

Rhyme.....I am sure she will crack Harvard ...who better than Rhyme to guide through the bschool process!!!

Good luck....

I think that's awesome. I tried to convince ndhlp that he needed to do b-school...mostly just kidding, but anyway, it's so not his thing. when we went to the blue devil weekend, all he could say is, "when do you have time to do research?"

Silly science boy.

True...... Is that why my moderator status went bye bye ? :(

I am slowly trying to have our new members take over the forum.

Rhyme, not sure to send my congratulations or condolences. My wife was doing her MBA at night when we first met. It was great, because I was doing my engineering masters at night so we had something in common and could study together.

But a full-time MBA at the same time? That's one solid year you'll barely talk to each other. Hope you can get her into Chicago also, that would make life a lot easier.

I would whole heartily support my wife if she wanted an MBA. She has talked about getting masters but doesn't know what she would want it in...she doesnt really want to be a boss or anything. She joked that if we move to NYC that she will go to fashion design school...she loves that show Project Runway. I wouldn't care, better to love what you do than do something you hate just for a bigger paycheck.

At least in Chicago there are two top schools so she can apply to both and improve her odds. It would be tough if you went to someplace like Tuck where that is the only option nearby.

Are you going to have her join the club for her preps?

My wife also entertained the idea, but we came to the conclusion that her GMAT would fall somewhere in the Q51/V15 range. It might take a couple years to bring her verbal skills up to par. Then again, she's one of those super smart Chinese so who knows..

I like how you put that ... "Q51/V15 range" ... very funny in a dorky kind of way.

Yep, did that just for you  How's the post honeymoon buzz? You two fully moved into the new place yet? Getting weekly visits from your mother in-law?

Its not a lot of fun at home these days. The hardwood guys screwed up the hardwood - before we moved in - and I tried frantically to get them to come back to fix it - before all my crap was in there. They eventually came to fix it, but only after I had moved in. So of course they could only do it in parts - living room first.... today they come back for the rest.

Its a huge pain in the rear because I've had to empty out 3 bedrooms and put everything in the living room - so even now, weeks after I "moved in", I'm not moved in. Needless to say, a house thats in dissaray for weeks can be stressful - and my wife is particular about that stuff - so having the house a mess for the last month has driven her a bit up the wall too.

During the move our bed broke as well, so we've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for the last few weeks until we can find an affordable replacement. We settled with the movers for a fair price methinks, but we are trying to stretch the money as much as we can since we are now officially poor.

Thats to say nothing of the stolen camera and portable video player, car accident I had, allergies I developed, hospital visit I enjoyed, multiple doctor visits I had, broken DVD player, etc etc etc..

We are having some filing cabinets delivered today, the hardwood finished, and well probably end up sleeping on the couch in the living room tonight, but my hope is that tomorrow I can move everything back into its rooms and just be, finally, once and for all, moved in.
