kungfury42 I'm a little confused by your answer, I thought 8 was the thousandth digit after the decimal in the question 6.3m8.

hence shouldn't the answer be B as statement 2 says that if rounded to the nearest 100th digit it would be 6.34 and if 8 is the 1000th digit it should be 6.338?

It seems I skipped the part where it said n = 6.3m8 and instead assumed n to be any decimal number with m at its hundredths place. Thanks a lot for correcting me. I'll remove/edit my solution to avoid any confusions to others.
