I studied hard...

Solved every question in both of them. Also, I read the whole books in order to learn some tricks, and they worked eventually.

Congrats.

It feels good to get it done in one try doesn't it?

Of course it does. However, in this case it was an obligation for me. I did not want to apply too late.

My GMAT adventure, hoping that helps the prospective GMAT owners!

The day before: I left work early (6 pm) and got home and had a practice test, but not gave my whole mind to it. Also I did not check my score. Went to bed early..

I got the afternoon test. I know my mind works really well at night, but can do nothing in the morning, I got the closest one to evening (2 pm). I got up at 9 am, had a good breakfast, listened to some music while reading the AWA pointers (mostly chill out). Then I solved some practice questions. Ate a lot of chocolate.

I walked to the exam center. It really helped me get a breath.

At the test center, I panicked a bit, and with the help of like 5 cigarettes, I was back in shape before the exam. I continued to eat chocolate lol

The test was easier than I expected. At a point, I thought they are easier because I was doing an awful test. AWA topics were easy. Verbal seemed a little hard.

I was expecting a mid-600 score at the end of the test. I looked down when that hourglass appeared, and did not look up for 30 seconds, more or less.

When I looked up, I first saw my *10, and without looking to the left, a big disappointment was upon me. When I saw the 7, I began shaking!

Never give up, I suppose...

Congrats man. I've heard good things about the PR2007 book you used. Did you or anyone you know ever use the Manhattan Review materials? I like them a lot and wanted to know how they compare to the PR materials. Thanks.

I only used the Manhattan SC. Splendid book for people who have problems with sentence correction.

Congrats. What did you score on the AWA's just for curiosity? Also please do not take the test again, to score even better, as sometimes people here have. Remember, scores can go down.

congrats...i also scoreed a 710 back in December. I remember looking at the *10 as well then saw the 7.. I felt that I did so bad but in the end I scored well.....

good luck with apps. I would set alot of time for essays as this takes the bulk of the apps process

Congrats! Very impressive that you did that in 1 month, how many hours would you estimate you put into it? Sounds like that 1 month was hectic.
