Hi Priya,

To start, since you're interested in some highly-competitive Schools, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, 3 of your recent CAT score results show that you essentially performed the same each time (about 560 +/- a few points); the 640 and 470 are 'outliers', so they are likely NOT reflective of your actual 'ability level.' You handle certain aspects of the GMAT consistently well, but you also make certain consistent mistakes.

Raising a 560 to the point that you can consistently score 740+ will likely require at least another 3 months of consistent, guided study - and you'll have to make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. Unfortunately, your current timeframe gives you just 1.5 months of study time - and that type of score improvement in such a short period of time is probably too difficult to be considered realistic. If you don't actually "need" a Score that high, then the time needed might change - but if you're going to keep studying until you hit 740+, then you can potentially save some money and aggravation by pushing back your planned Test Date.

1) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

1)How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
I have been studying from last 3 months. Each week typically I study 20 hrs -2-2.5hrs on weekdays and 4-5 hrs on weekends.

2)Have you used any other study materials besides the books that you listed?
For SC,I have used topic-wise pdf of questions.Mainly, I have studied the basics from Manhattan books and solved OG questions.

3)On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
So, I gave my first mock test 3 months back and scored 480 on official gmatprep without any preparation
2nd CAT-Manhattn Test- 6th Oct - 640 (Q=42 & V=33)
3rd CAT -Manhattan Test- 17th Oct - 540 (Q= 41 & V=29)
4th CAT - egmat test - 21th Oct - 470 (Q= 35 & V=20)
5th CAT - Veritas -24th Oct 570 (Q=43 & V=26)
6th CAT - Veritas -4th Nov 550 (Q=42 & V=24)

Goals:
4) What is your exact overall goal score?

I am targeting a score of 740 (Q=50 & V=42)

5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
I am planning to apply to Business School in Round 2 or 3 for fall 2020 depending on a lot external factors.

6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
I have a strong academic profile with extra curriculum in school, college and a graduation degree from top college of the country.
In addition to that, I have been working for last 3.5 years and handled various roles with promotions in one of the top start-up firm.
I believe with this profile and a good GMAT my profile competitive for top ivy league colleges.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks!
Priya Arora
Hi Priya,
I'm am an Indian myself.
I understand that your ambition and goals are something of a stretch for now as you only have 1.5 months
Give the first official Practice test. There are 6. Save the 5 for later. See your current relevant position

I would truly advice you to apply in round 1 NEXT year and not ruin your score by rushing
EMPOWERgmatRichC has guided me during my exam phase too
Also test center condition need to be good too. I reached a 760 on my last official practice test, but, on test day fell to 700 because of my allergies
Since I had exhausted my material, no use in taking test again
Don't do the same mistakes that I did.
Give GMAT when you're ready, research the schools, know what you want, why do you want to do an MBA, there has to be more to it than brand of ivy league, good luck.

p.s. top college of country would be IIT, NIT, BITS
No other names are quite well known

My best recommendation for people who really need to see a jump in score, is to DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT than what you've been doing -- in other words, get some different resources. Buy a different book, take a different class online, do something, anything different, if you want to get different results.
