Hi Ghensky,

While I'm sure that you could potentially learn a great deal about the GMAT in just 1 month, many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores. The goal to raise a 380 to a 550+ in just 1 month might be too tough to be considered realistic. Of course, no one here knows you well enough to tell you what you're truly capable of. To hit 550+, you don't have to correctly answer ANY questions that you think are too hard or to weird, but to improve 170+ points, you do have to keep the little mistakes to a minimum.

1) What is the exact application deadline for the School that you're interested in? Is there another (later) application deadline (and if so, then what is it?)?

2) You mentioned that a '550 minimum' is needed. Will that score 'guarantee' you entry or are there other qualifications that are needed?

1. Jan 5 is the deadline to have the score with the admission
2. Actually I need 450 for in-state tuition plus another $1500 for each semester. I’m an international student in USA. Without 450 score, the outofstate tuition is 45K for entire program.

Because I have about a month now, I’m targeting for 550.

Thanks.

I took GMAT so lightly. So when my university requested 550 min GMAT, I studied for 4 days mostly familiarizing with the format, and attended the exam. Scored 380 (Q27 and V16). I have exactly 30 days for my second exam on Dec 20. Please suggest a sensible approach.

Here is what I’m doing currently,

Thanks for your Suggestion.

Dear Ghensky,

You should master OG and review for sure.

Hi Ghensky,

As I mentioned earlier, a 550+ might be too difficult a goal considering your limited timeframe. If you only need a 450 though, then that's a considerably easier goal to accomplish.

1) What is the minimum GMAT Score that you would apply with?
2) On what date did you take the Official GMAT?
3) Have you taken any practice CATs since then (and if so, then how did you score)?
