Hi there,
I am not sure if this is the correct forum or not, but I will ask for assistance any way. I have been studying since January and took my first practice test in March. My official GMAT test is this Saturday, April 25th. I am applying for a local Executive MBA program that only requires a 550 for the application requirements. My goal is to get a 600 if possible as the rest of my application is pretty good. The program is designed for executives that are many years in the field (read – old!), so a 700+ score is not required. I am a 45 year old that did OK in school math getting B’s but I am extremely rusty.
I have been studying as much as I possibly can, factoring in a busy work schedule and two active children (9, 12). I have well over 100 hours in and have used
Magoosh extensively to assist with my studying (videos and practice questions – all timed). I have also been studying the OG GMAT 2015 and have used several online resources such as YouTube (Veritas Prep,
Manhattan Prep, Dominate the GMAT etc.) and have taken some additional free practice tests. I have also taken the practice tests from GMAT Prep.
My challenge is that on any given test either my Quant or my Verbal will drop below where I need to be. And on another test I will achieve the score I need on one, but fall short on the other. On only one occasion did I get both the scores that I wanted (
Manhattan Prep test Q37, V35 – 600).
Here are my other scores:
MagooshMar 8 Q32, V30 – 520
Apr 6 Q34, V35 – 570
Apr 9 Q32, V36 – 570
GMAT PrepMar 15 Q29, V31 – 510
Mar 26 Q33, V34 – 560
Apr 12 Q32, V31 – 530
Manhattan PrepApr 15 Q37, V35 – 600
GMAT PillApr 17 Q24, V36 – 510
Veritas PrepApr 19 Q35, V29 - 530
I’ve taken so many practice tests lately because I am starting to panic that I am not going to pass. Any help, guidance, assistance would be greatly appreciated over this last week. I am at a bit of a loss as to how to maximize my study time for these last remaining days. At this point I would even be happy with another 570, but I REALLY want to hit 600.
Thanks,
Steve
