Hi All,
My GMAT exam is about 2 weeks away and so far I've been scoring the following on my CATs:
KAPLAN CAT 1: 640 (Q49 & V30) - shouldn't this be a 650?
GMATPrep 1 : 640 (Q47 & V30)
KAPLAN CAT 2: 680 (Q49 & V35) - shouldn't this be a 690?
KAPLAN CAT 3: 640 (Q47 & V35), IR: 6 - shouldn't this be a 670?
I think the hit in quant on my 3rd KAPLAN CAT was due to completing the entire exam, including essay and IR, for the first time rather than skipping over the essay and IR to just do the quant and verbal sections. After the essay and IR sections, I found it slightly difficult to focus at times especially towards the middle of quant and had to guess the last 6 questions.
I believe I can be consistent in scoring a Q49 as I have an 85-90% accuracy for 600 level q's and 50-60% accuracy for 700 level q's. The issue is my verbal, I've been trying to raise it from a V35 to a V37- honestly I feel as if I'm 2-4 right questions away from a V37!
Any suggestions??
