hi,
i am planning to prepare for the GMAT exam but the problem is that my math is too bad. i haven't studied a math since i left high school. So, now i dont know which math book fits me. i would very appreciate if anyone tells me which book i should study first.
That depends on how weak your Math is right now. Do negative numbers make you uncomfortable? Are you uncomfortable using operators on fractions (adding, subtracting etc)? Can you convert decimals to fractions quickly? Do you know how and when to 'cross multiply'? etc
If you are ok with these basics, you can work on 'Math Essentials' of Veritas Prep. It will prepare you for GMAT Math basics.
If you are not ok with these basics, go to purplemath.com. They have many basic Math lessons and practice exercises. Work on those first and then get on to Math Essentials.
Thereafter, you can use pretty much any GMAT-focused Quant book and you should be good.
