Thanks Ferihere and Ravshonbek.

I wanted some frank opinions on the retake.
While I admit that my score is not too bad and I don't want to appear or sound too ambitious, but I thought I could do better.
I was unsure about my chances for a full time MBA unless a very good performance at GMAT.
I am an Indian (non-engineer), have more than 10 yrs work-ex from Indian govt. financial sector and have a family with 2 kids.
While I have had tough time preparing for the test (my younger son would often come to take test with me, my elder son always wanted my laptop for the games), I thought I had reached a level to score something around 750!
But, perhaps, we all want greener grass, a better world...
I had targeted at Wharton, Columbia, LBS, INSEAD, Said, Judge and ISB programmes, as I foresee a career in finance/consultancy.
I think the first two may have to be put off the list!
I know this site has been proud of performers who have gone from 700+ to 700+++ and also of those who have scaled the height in the first attempt itself.
I was wondering to take another shot at GMAT, or is it futile?
I would appreciate frank opinion from all those who can lend a helping hand!

I would recommend that you take it again. Go ahead and apply to all the schools with your current score though 'cause you are already a little on the older side of the spectrum. You seem to have done well in your GMATPreps. So I don't see any reason why the GMAT should be any different. Apply and when you get the interview calls, you can show off you new and improved higher GMAT score :) But then again, I am a fellow applicant too. So please take my advice with a pinch of salt.

I see u as a strong candidate to all the schools mentioned, and u can easily jusity ur score with the kind of experience u have! Although among Indian applicants to top schools it is an average score........!

Overall i can say u got a well balanced score with ur kind of work-ex, so u got pretty fair chances at these schools!
