Hi callpranav,

With less than 2 weeks remaining, you probably won't be able to make any big changes to how you approach the GMAT, but you can work to 'fix' some of the little issues that are costing you points.

On your last CAT...
1) How many questions did you get wrong because of a silly/little mistake?
2) How many questions did you take a LONG time on and then get wrong anyway?

Hi Callpranav!
I agree with Rich that it is hard to get a serious boost in two weeks. So i advise you to focus on your weaknesses and topics that are you have covered a little (due to,for example, shortage of time). Try to solve OG (if you didn't do).Hope you will get your desired result.

It depends on how much time you are studying per week IMO. I am a firm believer in a short sprints to tighten up any last minute bolts, IF you've actually been studying the past couple months.

My suggest:
- Take a couple practice tests over the next day or two
- Review your error log and drill into those as deep as possible. There are specific items you struggle with consistently, even if you don't see it...again the importance of the error log.
- If you could afford it, hire a tutor to go over those specific issues with you. You do not need to study all the course material in the lead up, instead focus on the areas you're weak.

Hi callpranav,

Based on your original post, you implied that you were taking your Official GMAT some time right around now. If that's the case, then how did you score?

Hi, Rich

Yes, I did take my exam, but could not achieve much. I ended up drstically on 560. On prep tests i was scoring 630-650 consistently, But during actual exam i stuck into verbal, ran short of time. at 30 question , i was just having 10 min left. I dont know how it happened, and i ended up in Q47, V 20. alas!!!

anyway, please advise, what i should do now...i have studied for about 4 months now, and now feeling discouraged.
Well, are there any colleges which offer admission on 560.

I have 8 years exp, in Oil&Gas, Post graduate Engineering degree.

please let me know the list of good colleges ,which take students with 560 score.

regards,
Pranav.

Hi Pranav,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as hoped.

Less than 3 weeks ago, you wrote that you were averaging 540-620 on your CATs; in this last post, you wrote that you were scoring 630-650 consistently. Which one is it? Did you score 630-650 on your last few CATs?

There are Schools that will accept you with a 560 GMAT score (but you're not likely to get into a Top20 School with that type of score unless you have a really strong OVERALL profile); you have to decide whether those Schools would be a 'good' match for you or not.

When are you planning to apply to Business School?
Ignoring your GMAT score for a moment, do you know which Schools interest you?
