Hello,

I recently gave GMAT and scored 710 (Q49, 37V). I am surprised by my verbal score (very disappointing). I have very limited knowledge about my chances of getting a call from ISB for PI.
In writing this post my aim is to get a realistic idea of my chances of getting into B-school of my choice (ISB in this case).

Please guide me how to approach ISB application process in best possible way or should I re-take the exam??

My profile: (24yrs,/Indian/Female)
1. Work Ex- 3yrs
2. University gold medalist in BTech. CSE, Numerous International research papers published
3. Overall very good academic performance
4. Innumerable achievements in extra-curricular activities (debate (state-level), sports, etc...
5. Awards from past employer
6. Recommendations from senior management
7. Working with a product based MNC (World leader), products, which I helped in development, currently marketed/sold in US

Thanks

I must say your prospects are indeed high.

One of my friend (Indian/IT/Female) with the international exposure of Malaysia got into ISB last year with the score of just 690.

So , your chances are high. However, depends on essays also.

Rgds,
TGC!

Thank you very much targetgmatchotu :)

I also have significant international exposure. My worry is am I too late for applying to ISB ? Deadline is Sept15. Even if I am able to apply within 10 days from now on, will I have disadvantage?? Should I apply for next cycle of November. Very worried about deadline :(

At least apply in R1 why you want to delay it for no reason.

(1). Please apply in R1 itself to maximize your chances.

(2). Attend webinar organized by ISB Adcom.

(3). Whenever you want to apply it is fine if you would apply before First deadline that is 15 Sep '13. In my opinion there is no drawback/disadvantage even if you apply 10 days from now.

All the best

Rgds,
TGC !

I attended a webinar from Mr Kannan of admission committee. A word of advice from him apply when you feel you are ready to apply. Honestly, you have a decent score for ISB. In the current batch there are people who have been selected with a score of 650-750. At the same time there have been applicant who have been rejected at 750(quoting a current batch student) make sure you applications are tuned with who you really are. You have a strong profile at the same time number of workex is less than median workex(by the way mine is also 3 years). You have a month to write your applications which is a decent timeline. Before submitting contemplate if you have justified, if not then r1 or r2 doesnt matter. Plz visit the ISB discussion thread under Bschool discussion forum for more updates.
