Hi. Welcome to GMAT Club
PMing - found your post in the tech support forum so moving it to a slightly better location where it will get more eyeballs.
There are pros and cons to Masters vs. MBA. Mostly it goes to what kind of a track are you looking at - are you looking to have a business or non business role. If you are planing to go into PM, some companies (esp. Google) want technical folks rather than business for their PM roles and so having a technical masters and knowing programming skills for example will be helpful. At the same time, many Masters programs are design for folks right out of college so hiring is not well designed for more mid-career roles and on campus opportunities will be mixed for recruiting, meaning you will have to do more legwork on your own. Bschool allows for 2 years and gives the time to change roles, industries, countries, etc. It is the true transformative experience. You can come in as anyone and graduate as a PM or a Consultant. Few degrees offer that. At the same time, if you are not changing your industry, your role, etc, you can get away with masters.
On the flip side, Masters tend to be cheaper and just 1 year vs. 2 for MBA.
Let me know if this makes sense - I can also see reaching out to a few of the folks in your future dream role to ask about their experience and what see as an option. I know during the post pandemic craziness PM standards had gone down a lot. That's not the case anymore with all the tech cuts and the perfect PM background will likely go back to having past PM experience....
