Hi,
I gave my 2nd GMAT today and got a score of 730 (Q48,V42). But i completely bombed the IR section and got a score of 4. I’m extremely confused about whether I should cancel this score or not. My 1st GMAT score is 720 (Q49,V39) and my IR score is 8. And during my mocks, I’ve usually scored between 6 to 8 in IR. But in my second GMAT attempt, I got 2 sets of multi source reasoning questions which in total were 6 questions out of 12. I was not prepared for this since in all my mocks as well as in my first GMAT i has only 1 multi source reasoning question and that’s the type of IR question I am not great at and planned on skipping it and focusing on the others. Anyway, I got quite thrown off and as a result I completely screwed up the IR section. I accepted my score at the test centre but now I’m wondering whether I should keep it or cancel it since my first GMAT has a much better IR score.
Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If you keep both scores, the school will see consistency in your performance by virtue of having scored in the 720-730 range. The fact that you achieved an 8 on the other exam shows you have the technical ceiling and can handle this type of thinking in business school. For all they know you just had an unusually bad go with the IR section, which seems to be the case.
If you just keep the 720 test, then you'll still have an impressive score to present. Ten points in either direction is not significant unless it happens to be at the 690-700 level.
