Hello all,

I have been preparing for my GMAT for the last 2.5 months. I appeared for my first mock (Manhattan Prep) and got a disastrous score of 570. On analyzing my mistakes I found that the problem is the quants portion ,However I found that the fault is not in my knowledge of the concepts in quants portion( as I was able to solve all of them post the exam) but due to the fact that i made a lot of silly mistakes which happened primarily due to the fact that I was trying to solve them as fast as possible. Also I had to guess the last 4-5 problems. Can anyone please suggest how can i increase my quants speed without sacrificng my accuracy. Is there any consolidated list of shortcuts available somewhere ?

Also is there is someway to increase my accuracy in RC?

I have my GMAT in exactly a month and really want to increase my score asap. Thanks in advance for all your help

Hey Prajit

We recommend examining multiple variations off of the same core question type so you are prepared when the same kind of question is asked in a slightly different way.

Here is a customized 1 month study plan that can help boost your score: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... study-plan

As you study, we recommend that you focus on one particular subsection for multiple consecutive days before moving onto the next. You can see this in our study plan where we recommend 5 days on nothing but PS -- before moving onto DS.

Best of luck-- we are here to help.

Hi Prajit,

You're on the right track here - clearly you understand that understanding concepts alone isn't enough to crack the GMAT. In addition to your responses to Rich's questions, I'm also curious to know if you're using just one source for your GMAT prep. If so, it might be time to consider some additional resources to help you learn more test-taking strategies.

Best,
Rich
