Prajit
Hello all,
I have been preparing for my GMAT for the last 2.5 months. I appeared for my first mock (
Manhattan Prep) and got a disastrous score of 570. On analyzing my mistakes I found that the problem is the quants portion ,However I found that the fault is not in my knowledge of the concepts in quants portion( as I was able to solve all of them post the exam) but due to the fact that i made a lot of silly mistakes which happened primarily due to the fact that I was trying to solve them as fast as possible. Also I had to guess the last 4-5 problems. Can anyone please suggest how can i increase my quants speed without sacrificng my accuracy. Is there any consolidated list of shortcuts available somewhere ?
Also is there is someway to increase my accuracy in RC?
I have my GMAT in exactly a month and really want to increase my score asap. Thanks in advance for all your help
Hi Prajit,
Although the tests provided by various companies provide you a good simulation, still GMAT prep tests are the best ones if you want to know your real standing. It would be helpful if you could answer the following questions:
1. Have you taken any official GMAT Prep Mock tests?
2. If yes, what was the score
3. What is your target score?
For the issue with your timing, make a table of time and questions number on your sheet and try to stick to that table.
The table will essentially tell you which quesiton number should you be on at a particular time.
You can try our course for free and see if that helps you. We have a list of formulae under the knowledge base.
Regarding your accuracy on the RC section, I would recommend you to make a passage map while reading the passage.
This should certainly help you.
