Need B-School Information having Full time MBA in IT field ?

Question

Hi All,
I did my engineering in IT (BE.IT.) and have 2 years of experience in one of the decent telecommunication company as a software engineer.

i am planning to give GMAT in Aug/sept 2010.
i wanted to do  MBA in IT related field( i dont have idea about course name also )   itself so that i can use my valuable 2 year experience while pursuing MBA course.

Can anyone help me in deciding/Targeting certain B-School which is having this kinda of course ?

If your planning on doing 2 YR MBA, and you want to climb up the ladder in IT industry then you could opt for

Technology Management
Operational Management
General Management
Offered in ISB INDIA. Kellog, Ross, Haas, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Chicago School of Business USA. Mostly all the Schools offer these courses.

Duration 2 years
Fees Around 20Lakhs ISB INDIA.

One more thing the classes start in September, October of each year.
The first round for applications end date is the prior year September Ex 2010 September.

2 years is the minimum required experience, it wont hurt if you have more experience as when you have to justify youself you could explain 5 months initially was training so on.

But if your joining in 2010 then you will have 2 years experience and there will be lot of people with that experience so you dont have to worry about being just one among many.

Just curious why did u say can you tell "us" instead of me.

Thanks a lot... Sorry for late reply as i was away from internet for some days. I came across many such kind of questions but unluckily all were unanswered so i used "us" and not me

. What about Abroad studies ? Could you please share your view on AID and expenses and Future? In how many years we can convert our IT Management Study(MBA) investments into profits? I know its difficult to answer such questions but it would be fine if you answer with respect to "Upper Bound, On Avg , Lower Bound ".

Abroad you need to really think hard and fast do u want to spend 50L on studying alone and do u see yourself getting grilled down in an IB or Consultancy for 3/4 of the day, i know we all say yeah yeah lets go, but its not as easy as it sounds.

So Return of Investment i would say 2 years after you get into a job if you dont buy a BMW from your salary.

its not about money wholly, because it would get you only a couple of millions in 20 yrs service and you dont need an MBA to be a billionaire respectfully Larry Ellison, so on.

You need to calm down first. Just take your Gmat and then worry about the rest later.

You will get paid everywhere if you have the right skills.
