Hi guys. I work in petrochemical industry. I have Bs and Msc in electrical engineering. Started as an operational engineer in power plant of petrochemical complex (We have got 22 plants and one of them is power plant which supply electricity to other plants. ) After 2 years I changed position. I turnaround assistant manager. We basically plan and execute engineering jobs which is related to shutdown of plants. I also deal with procurement of equipment, manage contracts which is related again to shut downs. Basically I got very good knowledge about petrochemical and energy industry. After 2-3 years I want to switch consulting career. For next 2-3 years I have got 2 different career pathes
1- Continue to works in same position ( Next year we will deal with RCM project which aim is to identify root problems in different plants)
2- I can go and work as lead in billion dollar coal plant project ( Will deal contracts more than 100 million USD, will work with different chineese, and UK companies)
To increase my chances to get job in top consultancy companies which choice you think will best suit for me?
Thank you
