just need some genuine and realistic advise....these are my scores and attempts so far......
1st attempt (08)--530 (Q-48 V-16)
2nd attempt (08)--570 (Q-47 V-24)
3rd attempt (09)--580 (Q-47 V-25)
my target schools are duke emory yale chicago...............should i go for next attempt or drop the MBA plan altogether..

Hi ssgmat,
With verbal scores that low and quant scores that high, you definitely have a LOT of room to improve with.
Were you scoring the same on your practice and diagnostic tests? What materials did you use? Do you know what parts of the verbal section are killing your score?
I was pretty much in the same position you're in (high quant, low verbal), but managed to bump up from a 610 to a 710 (first diagnostic test was 540).
Provide us with more details and we can help you come up with an action plan. Your goal is practical.

i used GMATPREP exhaustively for my third attempt understanding the logic for all the questions and was pretty much confident.....but really dont know wot happend
