I took GMATprep test1 today and scored pathetic 620. Distribution: Quant : 50 (92nd percentile) Verbal : 25 (35th Percentile) This is not the first time I scored less in verbal section but this time I am very disappointed coz for last 1 month I studied only verbal. till now I have given 5 tests, in all I have got equivalent result. Kaplan Test1: 620 (Q90%,V30%) Kaplan Test2: 650 (Q93%,V32%) Kaplan Test3: 600 (Q83%,V38%) ManhattanGmat1: 600 (Q94%,V25%)
More or less my score varied based on my quant score, while my verbal score remained constant. For last one month I didn't even touch quant still I got 50 sectional score. I don't have any good idea to improve my verbal score, please help...I beg you.

Sorry to hear about your troubles on Verbal, but rest assured that you are not alone. Before I can really help you, I need to know what you have been doing to prepare yourself for verbal. What materials do you have and what are you studying? Also, how do your results breakdown by area (SC, CR, RC). Your diagnostic reports from the MGMAT practice exam provide excellent data on strengths and weaknesses.

First of all, relax. Second, what material have you used? How do you feel about your verbal foundations. In my eyes, you have alot of potential and scoring 48+ in quant means you should leave it for a while and focus only on verbal. Yes, I saw you worked only on verbal for a month but what have you done? Use PowerScore CR bible + MGMAT SC and i guarantee you'll improve in no time. Verbal is a problem for me as well but practicing a lot everyday, taking notes and redoing the problems i had mistakes in improved my score greatly! hope this helps...
