Hey guys!
Trust everybody is doing well
I gave my Online GMAT on Saturday, 29th Aug 2020 and received my score today. I am dejected after seeing the score of 610(Q48, V26) because in the last 5 mocks I got the score in the range of 680-700. So, I was hoping at least 680 in my actual test as well.
I am planning to apply to ISB for R1 2021-intake and the last date to apply is 20th September 2020.
I need some guidance on below points
i) Should I retake the exam and apply for R1 at ISB (the last date to submit the score is 31st October)
ii) If I plan to retake, is it possible to improve the score especially in Verbal from V26 to at least V36+ in 15 days?
iii) In Dec 2019, I gave my first attempt in the test centre and got a 640 (Q43 V34), which I cancelled. Should I reinstate this score and apply with this score?
iv) As per my profile, what score should I aim at? (profile details below)
Some details on my prep
1. E-GMAT + GmatClub
2. Mocks - Official GMAT Prep, EGMAT, 800Scores, GMAT Club
3. Prep time 1st attempt - 4 months (Sep-Dec 2019); 2nd attempt - 3 months (June-Aug 2020); between Jan and June 2020, I did study for some time but not focused)
Latest 3 mocks
1. EGMAT Sigma X mock - 690 (Q48 V36)
2. GMAT official Prep 4 - 680 (Q50 V31)
3. GMAT official Prep 3 - 700 (Q50 V33)
Profile:
Educational Qualification - B.E in Civil Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University Vadodara (Guj).
WE: Overall - 4 Years and 10 Months; Current Employer - 2 Years and 6 months (with 1 year of International Experience in the Middle East)
Academics: B.E 2015 (60% second class); HSC 2011 (84.75% overall, 92% in PCM) and SSC 2009 (85%)
Brief: In 2015, I got placed in Infosys from college and worked there as an SAP consultant from Oct 2015 to Feb 2018. Then in Mar 2018, I joined RentSher (startup) as a Supply Chain manager in the Middle East. Then, within the same company, I shifted my role to an Associate Growth & Product Manager (in the product team) and currently working as the same.
I am responsible for the growth of the business from Product and IT perspective. I design product, user flows, various features etc. I handle 3 products under my portfolio (Company's website, Internal ERP + CRM system(that we built from scratch and a new application (under process). I am an Individual Contributor and report to CEO, but I manage our internal Tech team of 3 people plus an outsourced team of 3 people. I also work with various teams such as Operations, CRM, Sales & Marketing to better understand the process and their pain points and to resolve that with IT and automation.
Why to Join MBA - I have 2+ years of experience working in the business profile, so I want to enhance and furnish this experience by doing an MBA from a top B-school and to use this enhanced knowledge as a multiplier in career growth.
P.S: I can dedicate at least 3 hours of daily study.
Please share your valuable thoughts and inputs.

Since you have a specific School in mind that you want to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

If the Round 1 application deadline is relatively soon (re: in the next couple of weeks), then you might want to consider pushing back your application to Round 2 so that you can continue to study (and potentially score higher on the GMAT). Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
1) For this 2nd attempt, what type of study routine were you following? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) You listed just 3 CAT/mock Scores. On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) Is your overall goal score 680 or something else?
4) Are you planning to apply to any other Schools besides ISB?

I do think it’s going to be pretty challenging to improve by 10 verbal points in just 15 days, so I have a very important question. Are you able to give yourself more time to study and apply during a later round?
