e-gmat is very good for verbal. I have used their course and it is very detailed and the best among available. You can PM me in case you might have any specific questions.

guy's i have given my gmat 1st attempt secured 390 self prep..
made couple of mistakes
- went through the official guide 1st
- was hurrying in finishing my gmat books rather than making a roadmap how to go on with my studies.
- gave very little time around 1 and 1/2 month
- overestimated my ability on verbal
- grilling my self during this 45 days time period studying around 8-9 hr a day which all went in waste

guys please someone tell me how tackle with verbal i have scored 14!! any online verbal coaching classes ???

swear to god i'll nail it this time with proper dedication, commitment and proper preparation...

I agree. I've used egmat as well and honestly, I could not possibly have achieved my good score without it.

kunalpagdi,

I had a realization which unfortunately came to me VERY late. Find your realistic TEMPORARY target. If it is 500 (at least for the time being), then aim at doing ONLY under 600-level questions until you have about 90% hit rate. Then move up to 600-level questions, then to 600-700 level and so on.

I think the problem many test takers face (myself included, probably I am one of the biggest culprits here) is that they have no REALISTIC limit. Being confident is good, but I think it's at least as important is to have a clear goal. I think to myself that I am good in Math and Verbal, but am I REALLY at 700-level yet? Consistently? Can I consistently perform on 700-level during timing and pressure and bla bla bla? No...

So try to LOWER your standards, it has been an eye-opening paradigm shift for myself.

Hope it helps and good luck!

Hi Kunalpagdi,

Sorry to hear about your 1st GMAT attempt, though I'm pleased to see that you're prepping to retake the exam with more vigor. What's your goal for verbal, and how much time do you have before your exam? These are important to know when determining how you should approach your studying. Also, were there any particular type of questions (SC, CR, etc) that stumped you?

There are several online verbal coaching classes, and any class that's worth its salt will provide a free trial period. Be sure to shop around and see which class works for you. Here's a link to sign up for a free trial to the Economist GMAT Tutor: https://econgm.at/freetrialoffer.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

Jessica
