Hi, I have my exam scheduled on 2nd Nov but surprisingly I have started scoring low in gmat mocks. I completed all
Manhattan books, gmat verbal course and OG19.
The first test I gave(with no seriousness as I was not able to focus) after 2 week of gmat preparation , I scored 460 on the most reliable test exam - gmatprep.
But I saw an improvement in last 25 days when I scored 580 and 630 in Manhattan CATs. I planned a roadmap for 700+ and accordingly took a date.
I have taken 3 weeks off from work to full focus on gmat. In last 10 days, when I am attempting questions from previous years OGs and gmatclub- I can see no improvement, on the contrary my scores are decreasing to the same level to where I started - I scored 470 in gmatprep today.I don't intend to reschedule the exam as the I am already too late to do that now. Please help with any suggestions.
Thanks
Hi priyaarorastep,
Welcome to GMATCLUB! It is going to be quite difficult for you to increase your score substantially in 10 days until your GMAT. However, if you decide to go ahead with your attempt you can try a few things. If you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in Quant; a subscription to
GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them.
Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP,
Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.
Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practice tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.
Lastly I would also encourage you to purchase the GMATPREP QP 1 for some great additional practice.
Hope this helps. All the best.
