Hey Guys,
It’s been a while since I had given my gmat...3.5 yrs to be exact. I did not do that well the last time around...I messed up badly in verbal even though English is my native language… my quant was ok but it needs improvement ...So I have a lot of material but do not know where to start from ... need to up my score by 200 points
This is a list of the GMAT material I have:
OG - 12, 11 & 10
Verbal Review - 1st & 2nd Edition
Quant Review - 1st & 2nd Edition
MGMAT - All the 8 guides (Latest edition)
I need to get my basics right in Verbal ... literally start from scratch ... apart from this is there anything else I should be looking at or doing???
I plan on giving my Gmat in the first week of June & plan on studying on the week days for 2 hrs & weekends for 4 - 5 hrs as I am currently working.

Hi Bubsy, give the list of materials you've got, you have pretty much enough material to really help you raise your score. Since it's been 3.5 years from your last GMAT, I'd take one of the free tests you can get from MGMAT or GMATPrep and see where you stand 3.5 years from then. I would then focus on the weak area (if verbal, which particular part? sentence correction? Criticla reasoning?) and dive right into the MGMAT book for it. The OG is a great source to know the type of questions you'll see on the real test. Make use of a good error log and record your mistakes. Understand your mistakes both on practice problems and on practice tests - this is more tedious than it sounds like - but you'll benefit from it.

Thanks for the direction .... I have basically jumped right into the MGAMT ... I think I need to work on getting my basics right & then take it form there ... I really understand the importance of an error log ... I guess that is going to help improve my score considering last time around I did not maintain one ... appreciate you spending time sharing your insights
