Hello guys !
I took my Gmat exam today (9 October 2015) and i scored 670(82%) ( 50 quantitative 87%) (29 verbal 56%) .
I was dissapointed because i expected 710-730 . My target is the top 30-40 schools . GPA 3.2 (bad but top 10% of my university)
Gmat Tests :
MGMAT CAT 1 660 Q49 V32 ( SEP 4TH 2015)
MGMAT CAT 2 630 Q48 V29 ( SEP 20 2015)
MGMAT CAT 3 700 Q47 V38 (OCT 3 2015)
MGMAT CAT 4 680 Q45 V37 (OCT 5 2015)
MGMAT CAT 5 710 Q49 V38 (OCT 7 2015)
GMAT PREP 1 730 Q51 V37 (OCT 2 2015)
GMAT PREP 2 710 Q50 V36 (OCT 8 2015)
My verbal score ruined my day and 2 months of hard work..... I can't explain that 29V. it was probably not my day.....

Also , if i retake i should do it in the next available date , because next month i will go to fullfil my military service... Any ideas how to improve verbal in 3 weeks??
I am sure that verbal cannot go worse. But what if my quant goes to 49 or even 48?? This will not be good either.

Hi Georgegreece,
First off, a 670/Q50 is a solid score (it's above the 80th percentile overall), so it's absolutely 'in the range' of all the Business Schools that you might be considering. As such, a retest is probably not necessary.
One of the likely factors in your Verbal score drop was that you took 5 CATS in the 7 days leading up to the Exam (including a CAT the day before your GMAT). That was NOT a good idea. By doing all of this work in the last week of your studies, you likely experienced some 'burn out' before your Official GMAT.
Before you rush in to retest, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:
