Hi all,
I'm a senior at a top US university with a economics major. I am interested in applying for a MACC program. but after much research, i found out that there's only a handful top programs that accepts non-accounting majors. My lists so far consists of UT, USC, University of Michigan, and UNC.
My profile:
GPA: 3.6
GMAT: 740
Internship: Audit Internship with Big 4, accounting internship with a local non-profit firm
accounting courses taken: intro to fin accounting (A), intro to managerial accounting (B+), intermediate accounting (A)
Please help me expand my list. I would really like apply for 5+ schools. I am also facing a dilemma between University of Michigan ad UNC. In order to apply for UNC, i cannot have 12+ credit hrs of accounting course work. However, in order of apply for U Michigan, i have to complete the prerequisite courses, which exceeds 12+ credit hrs of accounting work. So i can really apply for one of the school. Which one should i choose?
I would very much appreciate it if anyone could evaluate my chances of getting into any of the schools i mentioned above and help me expand my list of schools. Thank you very much!
