Hi
I have been preparing for GMAT since 2023 beginning and as I am a full time working professional so I decided to set aside a longer time to prepare for GMAT unlike a lot of people who just set aside a 2-3 months for GMAT preparation and end up getting great scores.
I have booked my GMAT Online slot on 15th Oct. As the test date is coming closer, suddenly my mock scores have started decreasing like anything and I am super scared.
I have written 9 mocks since Mar'23 and the scores are as below:
1. Manhattan CAT 1: 640 (Q42,V35) (test completed on 25/3/2023)
2. Official practice test 1: 500 (Q37, V22) (test completed on 8/04/2023)
3.Official practice test 2: 550 (Q48,V19) (test completed on 13/5/2023)
4.Official practice test 3: 610 (Q48, V26) (test completed on 15/7/2023)
5.Official practice test 4. 680 (Q46, V37) (test completed on 5/8/2023)
6. Official practice test 2(retake): 550 (Q42,V24) (test completed on 21/8/2023)
7.Official practice test 5: (Q48,V28) 650 (test completed on 26/8/2023)
8. Manhattan CAT 2: 560 (Q38,V29) (test completed on 02/09/2023)
9. Manhattan CAT 3: 520 (Q34,V27) (test completed on 16/09/2023)
I am not able to understand how practicing further can bring my scores down .
Sources of study which I used :
Magoosh (studied as per its 3 month study plan)
Official Guide 2022
Now since one week, I have also started to practice GMAT club
Forum Quiz so that I get questions from all the sources...
One thing I want to add is that there have been many mocks where I was not able to finish the entire section especially in verbal and the running timer really freaks me out and makes it hard for me to concentrate on the Question . It keeps coming to my mind that if I take too much time on a particular question, I will not be able to finish the section.
My target score is 700+ (because that is what most of the schools consider for MBA admissions)
Please help as I don't know where am I going wrong
