Hi everyone,
I've been preparing for GMAT for about 4 months now using an online course material and
MGMAT Quant and SC books. The course is good but I am still having trouble in SC and RC.
I have given the following mocks:
1) GMAT Prep 1 590 - Nov 1, 2015
2)
MGMAT Mock 1 630 (V35, Q42) - Jan 24, 2016
3) GMATClub Quant Tests - Q42, Q44 - Feb 15, 2016
4) GMAT Prep 2 630 (V28, Q48) - Feb 21, 2016
In my last mock, I panicked in Verbal section after spending too much time on one RC in the beginning. I was almost 7 minutes behind my target time for 20 and 30 question in Verbal. That affected the entire section in that I couldn't focus and couldn't follow the process/technique after Q15 in Verbal. I was left with less than 7 minutes for last 8-10 questions. I do feel that that I need to improve a lot in RC and SC, since those took most of my time.
After reading all the good reviews on GMAT Club, I've decided to purchase the e-GMAT Verbal Online course. My plan is to complete the course within a month and in parallel give GMAT Club Quant Tests to get to Q51.
I need to improve my score by 130 points in less than 7 weeks based on the below study plan I've created. Considering I put in the effort and spend about 20-22 hours/week (Monday-Saturday) just studying and 1 mock + Analysis every Sunday.
Here is my plan:
--
[ Feb 23 - Mar 6 ] Complete 10-12 GMAT Club Quant Tests + Analysis in the next 2 weeks.
--
[ Feb 23 - Mar 6 ] In parallel, Start e-GMAT SC course and finish it in 2-3 weeks.
--
[ Mar 7 - Mar 27] Start RC and CR course right after I finish SC and complete it in 3 weeks.
--
I would be done with 5 MGMAT mocks by Mar 27.--
[ Mar 28 - Apr 10] Practice + Solve Questions from
Error Log + Take GMATPrep 1,2,3, and 4
-- GMAT April 11
I want to keep giving mocks every week to check my progress and figure out weak areas.
Is this plan good enough? Anything else I should include or change?
My target score is 750+. Please advise!
Thanks in advance.
