Hello everyone,

I've been studying GMAT for a year, most studying on and off due to school and work. For the past month, I've started to get serious about GMAT.

I've went through the OG, Princeton Review, and MGMAT books (SC, RC etc). I've did a GMAT Prep test and got a pretty low score (36Q 20V) 480. I was short on time for the verbal and ended up guessing the last ten question.

From the results, I decided to work on my timing, improve my quantitative and do way more practice test by using the GMATClub test. I've been getting rocked for these challenges averaging 50% (not percentile) on the first couple verbal and quant test.

My time is really limited as I have to submit my application by early, and my aim is 600-650.

My questions is will GMATClub test help me reach that goal?
I've been getting ~30% ile on GMATClub test, should I still continue with the test?
I've been studying GMATClube test for about 1-2 weeks, should I do another GMATPrep test to see where I'm at?

Thanks!

I'd recommend going back and getting a solid grounding in the basics. I like the MGMAT books for that.

As I understand it, the Challenges are designed for test takers shooting for a 48+ in quant. They are the best tool I've found for honing math skills, but your 36Q on the GMAT Prep leads me to believe that you have some more work to do before they become beneficial to you.

Thanks for the tips and information. I'll be sure to review the basic material more throughly. I will also attemtp GMATP and see how much improvement I have with 2 weeks of GMATClub Test.
