Hi all, I am just getting started with my GMAT preparation. Laying out some details below:
- This will be my first ever GMAT attempt.
- I have never prepared for GMAT in the past and hence it is all new to me, though I have taken standardized tests in the past for my engineering undergrad program but that was many years ago.
- I am aiming for a 695+ considering the B-schools that I am planning to apply to.
- I only have 10 weeks of prep time - Target GMAT date is 1 Oct 2025.
After a lot of research across multiple online forums and review platforms and some back-and-forth, I have zeroed down on going for a self-study approach with books and materials at my disposal. I am confused between the following:
- Self Study Toolkit from MGMAT: This includes their famous All the GMAT Strategy Guide set (All the Quant + DI and All the Verbal, both are eBooks) with a bunch of other online resources like question banks and their explanations to the OG problems.
- GMAT Focus Premium Prep (All-in-one) eBook from The Princeton Review: This includes just this one ebook with online access to 3 CATs (plus 1 more, which is anyway free on their platform), 2 diagnostic tests and some practice questions (drills, as they call them).
Need help in deciding which one to pick. Any inputs will be appreciated.
PS: In both the cases, I will be using the GMAT OG 2025-2026 edition and will also buy the Official Practice Exams 3-6 bundle.
Thanks.
