No. I am Indian.. converted my Indian CGPA to US grading system

Why would you do that?
That’s a fools errand. There’s not a single consistent method of converting…

You don’t convert your GPA. Instead, do you want to get a sense of how you compare to your peers and reputation of your undergrad. First, how do you compare to the graduating class? Will you top of the class, middle of the class or bottom of the class? Second, how competitive was your undergraduate University? Was this a top 10 school, top 50 or unknown?

That is how your GPA will be evaluated in basic terms

Hi saipk,

Thank you for your post. One thing to note is if your GPA was originally on a 10 point scale it is not recommended to convert it to a 4.0 scale, as this does not always translate exactly. Personal MBA Coach does not convert GPAs and most schools also do not, so kindly post your score and we will know what that means. I am also curious as to where you attended undergrad.

That said, a 740 GMAT should help outweigh a low GPA and can be explained in the optional essays. Personal MBA Coach regularly works with applicants who have a low GPA and they get in if they ace the GMAT and have impressive experience.

If you are looking for more guidance regarding your application strategy, feel free to send a note to [email protected]. School selection is part of our comprehensive packages and we would be happy to learn more about your profile in order to set you up for success.

Regards,
Personal MBA Coach

Hello All,

I have a very low GPA of 2.3 in my undergrad (2.7 in my final year) and I am about to give my GMAT in 2 weeks. (My most recent mock scores are fluctuating around 740). I have a work ex of around 3.5 years with a diverse profile. I also had a startup back during my undergrad days which lasted for a year. Currently, I am on a break from 7 months due to some personal reasons, but I utilized a part of this break to do some ground work on a project I plan to do after I am settled and make enough savings.

Would be great if anyone could help me on which Universities to apply?

I am planning to study in US only if I get a top 10 University else I prefer to do my MBA from Canada.

Thanks in advance!
