Why these schools?I thought selecting schools to apply to is suppose to be a more complicated process

I agree that it should be a more complicated process.

However, given what the original poster wrote, there's not much I can based it on. Since this is a peer review, I named the top 3 schools (which basically has all recruiters going), and two finance-heavy schools, thus Columbia and NYU.

Had the original poster (no offense, by the way) posted a bit more about his/her work experience, extracurricular activities, undergrad/grad GPA, where he/she would like to work post-MBA, the school selection would have been more meticulously written out
