Hi! I've just finished answering the RC part of Kaplan2007 and the final score came out 38/50! I need help.
Depending on the difficulty and lenght of the text, I usually finish answering passage questions in 10-15 mins. (wch i think is taking too long)
Can anyone offer a good advice for me to improve? How detailed are your notes when reading the text? (mine is a little detailed i think).
Somehow I'm not sure if I should be as detailed as possible since I almost always seem to forget what the text is talking about after reading a sentence.A big downside of this is the time.
I need help!

I am religiously working on RC at the moment and must tell you that the only way to improve is to practice and find your own strategy on this section.
Many stand by reading the 1st sentence of each paragraph, skimming the rest with some key words... A lot of others read the whole thing fast... You must find what works for you...
Taking notes is plausable, but may not be an option when it takes 10 min to read and write notes. I find it easy to create a passage map in my mind and write down only "KEY" words... Also, after reading each paragraph, I try to rephrase in my head what I read a second ago.
I went through all of OG passages and read all the explanations, then I did Kaplan and Princeton passages and currently working on RC 1000 document... it is endless, but the rate is slowing climbing!!!
so search around the forum and read many great strategies and finally find what works for you!!!
good luck!
