Hello
I am planning to give my Gmat sometime in Nov middle. I have been practicing from Kaplan and Arco till date but I have been using older editions of these books (2000, 2001 etc.) from my local library. I want to know if investing in a new edition helps? Is the new edition very different in terms of problems from older editions.
What book do you recommend to buy just before the GMAT? PEople say Official Guide is good..what do you think?
One more thing, none of my library books give me CD so is there separate CDs available on Amazon.
Please do advice me on a collection of books / Cds to invest in before GMAT.
I am very strong in verbal but my quanti is rather weak.

First, unless you joined ETS, I believe you'll be taking the GMAT and not giving it.
As far as books go, I would advise working with more recent books as I believe test materials have at least changed to some degree over the years.
I used Manhattan GMAT books to prepare for the exam and did quite well. I also used the Kaplan and Princeton Review CD's for review material and practice exams. I think the best thing you can do is to get a hold of a recent book, figure out the breakdown of different sections to study, put a schedule together of studying and practice exams, and start working toward a goal of being prepared for the exam.
