Hi,
I have started preparing for GMAT since january. Initially when i gave a diagnostic test in GMAT Prep I scored 570. From then on, i have been learning concepts and doing practice tests. On an average my practice scores for verbal are around 60% and for quant around 80%. Yesterday I gave a mock test in GMAT Prep and scored a devastating 530(Q45V18).I faced time issues while attempting verbal.For first 24 questions I took upto 55 minutes and last 11 questions were mostly guess work. I answered incorrectly in all three sections(SC,CR,RC).
I am aiming for IIM's and it requires 700+ score to be shortlisted. At this point i am not even sure if I can cross 600.
Can you please suggest me how I can improve score in Verbal (in 30 to 40 range) in short time or should i postpone my GMAT. (Scheduled my gmat for May16th).

Going from the 500s to the 700s will likely take more than a few weeks. It could take several months. So, you should push your GMAT out at least a few months.
Regarding how to increase your Verbal score, you need to work on one topic at a time and achieve high accuracy on practice questions in each topic, such as E - 90%, M - 85%, H - 75%, UNTIMED before seeking to answer Verbal questions timed.

How to Score High on GMAT Verbal

This person went from a V31 to a V40 on their second attempt. May be some quick tips you can take. Ultimately, you may want to hold off on booking your exam until you've hit something similar to your target on an Official Mock. Fair to say two consecutive Official Mocks that hit your target score is a positive sign you'll do something similar on an actual exam.
