Yes, getting financial assistance is not that easy. As the Round 1 deadlines of the schools are still a couple months or so away, you could consider taking the GMAT again and upping that score a bit (while you continue to work on your application). A mere 30-point increase will put you in the "zone".

Hi,

While I would say you have a pretty good score, I always like to recommend to just contact the school you are interested in applying to. Ask them what they are looking for in applicants and what the average GMAT score they look for is. While you may not be able to get this information from all of the schools, others will be more than welcome to provide it. In these cases it is best to go straight to the source. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
