If you feel it takes you a bit of time to warm up, consider doing a few questions beforehand (i.e. not letting the first questions you see on the day be those of the mock or actual exam).

Try to Block out your mind by focusing on the questions; user earplugs if you are at the test center; don't worry about the overall picture - you won't be able to tell.
Make sure you take all your practice timed to experience stress and perform better under stress.

I recently scored 615 (Q80, V83, DI78) on the GMAT. While I feel confident in my preparation and understanding of concepts, I’ve realized that anxiety during practice and mock tests is preventing me from improving further. I sometimes know the answer but freeze or overthink under time pressure.
I’m curious to hear from others:
  • How have you managed test anxiety effectively?
  • What strategies helped you stay calm and focused during the GMAT?
  • Are there specific techniques that I need to try before the next attempt?
